Coauthor of:
Pure Gold: Encouraging Character Qualities in Marriage (2nd Ed.)
and Can We Dance? Learning the Steps for a Fulfilling Relationship
John S. Miller is a character coach and holds a B.S. in Psychology from Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1994, John married his best friend, Cindy, a second marriage for both of them. While college honed his writing, research, and intellectual abilities, John considers the best classroom to be real-life experience combined with the quest for truth. He comes from five successive generations ravaged by divorce, so he is an expert at understanding how divorce destroys families.
Within the context of an inherent personal need to find better ways for relationships to function, John has spent 25 years studying character and conflict. He and his wife founded Solving Conflicts LLC (www.solvingconflicts.com) in 2005 to offer their unique system of character assessment. It comes from their own personal use of character to solve conflicts and John’s research into the meaning of character strengths. John and Cindy attribute the success of their twelve-year marriage to this focus. It is John and Cindy’s mission to make this cutting-edge system of character education and assessment available to all people. Johanna Merritt Wu, Ph.D.
