Her over 200 articles have been published in Marriage Partnership, Strengthening Marriage, Newsweek Japan, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer, Crain’s Cleveland Business, and Massage Magazine among others. She is a contributing columnist to www.simplemarriage.net and www.parentsconnect.com. Susanne is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA). Susanne co-hosted a talk radio show in Cleveland in 1998-1999 and has been interviewed on radio many times since.

Susanne M. Alexander’s work grew out of listening to friends’ frustration over their marriage challenges, as well as enjoying a happy second marriage after a difficult first one. Mentored by Linda Kavelin Popov, world-renowned speaker, best-selling author, and cofounder of The Virtues Project (www.virtuesproject.com), Susanne learned how to help couples encourage character strengths in marriage rather than attacking the character of a spouse. She then expanded the focus of Marriage Transformation to include training for premarital individuals and couples, including character knowledge and skill building. Susanne teaches everyone how to use Character Quality Language© to acknowledge the best in one another. An advocate for social change, Susanne’s message is clear—paying closer attention to character is a key step in divorce prevention!
Susanne was born and reared in Canada and has lived most of her adult life in the United States. Susanne's spiritual path has included the United Church of Canada. She is a member now of the Bahá'í Faith, which embraces the truth and essential oneness of all faiths and has a commitment to social action projects that improve the world.
